Quiz on Section # 1
Query Panel
Creating a query is the first step to create a report. We need to select a Universe first and then we have to select dimensions and measures that we want to include in our analysis.
Business layer is the main output of Universe which is the semantic layer of SAP BO. We can use business layer to access information using a business meaning of the information rather than the technical / physical database name. In this leacture we will learn about:
- Dimensions
- Measuers
- Attributes
- pre-defined filters
To build a query you need to decide objects to be added to the result set. these objects will be available to be used in the report to do the required analysis. We need also to define our where condision to restrict our data set results.
Prompts can be used to prompt end user to specify a filter value
List of values can help end users to select filter value instead of writing it.
